Zed - Stephen Herfst I got this book from Making Connections for free, in exchange of an honest review. Get your copy here.

Firstly, I just want to say that I enjoyed every bit of it.
Zed was the right amount of funny and arrogant. He seemed so knowledgeable at times while at others, not so much-the maul hehe
Also, the idea of a zombie capable of thinking has always fascinated me.
And Chase is the cutest gun slinging teenage girl you'd ever come across. It was touching to see her soft side when she thought she won't be seeing Zed again. I loved her accent, of course.
The book was the right length and a quick fun read.
I loved the humor and the wittiness of the concepts used-the synthetic brain product, the zombie treats which kill the hormone responsible for zombie-ism, as well as the whole idea of how the zombies came into being. Of course, there had to be an activist group who was experimenting on zombies on the sly while lobbying for their rights- there always is!
I'm looking forward to the next book in the trilogy.
